How Many Hypnotherapy Sessions Do You Need?

It Really Depends!

ree

When it comes to how many sessions you might need, there's no one-size-fits-all answer—and that’s actually a good thing. For something very specific, like using the Simpson Protocol to address a focused issue, many people find that one session can make a big difference. On average, though, you might be looking at around two or three sessions, especially if we’re dealing with something that has a few layers, like anxiety.

The beauty of hypnotherapy is that we can peel back those layers one by one. So if someone has never done any kind of personal development work—like breathwork or counseling—they might need a few more sessions just to clear out those old patterns. But if it’s something straightforward, like quitting smoking, one session can often do the trick.

In short, it really depends on you and your unique journey—but on average, two to three sessions is a good ballpark. And the best part is that each session helps you move closer to the root of the issue and replace it with confidence and calm.

💬 A note from Lilly:

“When I guide a session, I also enter a light trance myself. This allows me to tune in and often feel what the person feels within. It’s a deeply connected process—one where I walk beside you, sensing the shifts as they happen, and holding space for your subconscious to do the healing work.”
