Ionic Foot Detox and Feet Massage
Come to experience a foot reflexology massage, Ionic foot detox and FarInfraRed (FIR) Technology!
Ionic foot Detox and infrared heating technology have been created to help the body in the process of detoxification through a phenomenon of osmosis. Studies show that it may have a positive impact in the body pH level (more alkaline), in drawing some heavy metals such as aluminum and arsenic, in rejuvenating the body cells and more.
The machine I use is also equipped with a FIR belt (Far InfraRed therapy). Far Infrared heat therapy general properties may include the promotion of circulation, reduction and relief of pain, swelling and inflammation, elimination of serious toxins such as heavy metals, relaxation and comfort.
Ionic Foot Detox and Massage session
The foot detox is a 30 min bath followed by a 45 min foot and lower leg reflexology/massage. You also will have the unique opportunity to listen to a 45min hypnosis recording while you are having your massage. A complimentary tea of your choice will be offered to help toxins elimination.
Is the ionic foot detox good for anybody?
Yes! nearly everyone. It is especially good for those suffering from gastrointestinal disorders, skin conditions, autism spectrum, fungal or yeast infections, cancer and more... However, the ionic detox is contraindicated for those who have a pacemaker and open sores or lesions on his/her feet or pregnant. People with Diabetes Type I should use this therapy with precaution. Always ask your doctor first if you have any doubt.
What is the cost?
You have 2 options:

What is an Ionic Foot Detox?
Ionic therapy is loosely linked to the work of Royal Raymond Rife, an American inventor considered to have discovered bioelectric medicine. His theory said that viruses will be destroyed if they are introduced to the right balance of resonating frequency, similar to a glass being destroyed by the high pitch of a soprano. Fast forward to the 21st century, and Dr. Mary Staggs applies this theory and others to create the first commercial ionic footbath in 2001.
An ionic foot bath is a type of detox treatment wherein you put your feet in warm salt water with a metal coil called an “array” for 30 minutes. As you would observe, the water would gradually change colour and texture. The array is attached to a machine which emits a pulse of electricity. A conductive strap is attached to your wrist, and an imperceptible electric current is pulsed through your body during the session. This is absolutely pain-free. The principle theory of ionic foot bath is that toxins will come out of your feet during the foot bath. Basically, the “dirt” in the water are those toxins that came out from your body.
How does it work?
An ionic foot detox is a bucket filled with saltwater and an electronic device or apparatus. This electronic apparatus is called an ion generator. This delivers a very small amount of current to the “ionator”. Once the metal ionator combines with the water, it will produce/split positively and negatively charged ions.
When the electric current is pulsed through the salt water, the water splits into positive and negative ions. These ions in the salt water are attracted to the ionic compounds in your body which are not of benefit to you — such as some pesticides, preservatives, and some heavy metals. Some of these toxins are pulled out from your body through the pores of your feet. Your feet have over 4,000 pores and they are the largest in the body. This makes the foot an ideal modality for detoxifying the body.
What are the benefits?
Detoxification from certain heavy metals (at least Aluminum and Arsenic)
Raise pH levels (Alkalinize the body). The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine analyzed water samples before and after participants used the foot detox. They found that after the session, the water had lower concentrations of calcium and magnesium, implying that these minerals had been taken up into the body. Calcium and magnesium are two of the four alkalizing minerals, so it is thought that this is the process by which alkalization occurs during the ionic foot bath. Approximately 95% of people experience a state of acidity in which their blood pH is lower than 7.45, indicating an excess of hydrogen ions. This makes an ideal breeding ground for worms, parasites, microorganisms and other critters that lower body function and cause disease.
Remove toxins, free radicals and body waste products that can cause health problems (In an Aug. ’04 study by Carlos A. Lopez-Moreno, MD, there was a significant deposit of urea, creatinine and glucose in the foot basin in 12 patients with chronic illnesses.)
In a 2008 study by Center for Research Strategies (crsllc.org), 31 participants underwent ionic detox two times per week for 12 weeks. The amount of aluminum and arsenic in their blood was measured before and after the 12 weeks. The average blood aluminum level decreased by 46% from 79.8 ppb (parts per billion) to 43.1 ppb. The average blood arsenic level decreased 24% from 4.6 ppb to 3.5 ppb.
In a 2002 study by Doctor’s Data in St. Charles, IL, there was an average increase in toxic metals found in the foot basin from nine independent sessions. Here is a list of metals that increased in concentration: Copper: 905%, Aluminum 339%, Lead 233%, Iron 174%, Manganese 140%, Antimony 128%, Cadmium 119%.
Inactivate viruses, bacteria, yeast and fungus
Relieve pain and tension including headaches
Purify the blood and lymph
Increase peripheral circulation
Stimulate and balance the immune system
Enhance nutrient absorption
Reduce inflammation and unwanted fluid retention
Help clear up skin
Assist in weight loss
Slow down aging and improve body flexibility
Quicken recovery time from disease or injury
Increase oxygen in the body
Rejuvenate and energize your whole body
Why does the water bath changes colour?
The brown-rusty colour formed during the session is a natural chemical process created by the array. However, there exists a wide spectrum of colour shades and texture. While the water does turn a brownish shade when the coil is pulsed in the absence of feet, it does also change to specific shades of colour and texture depending on the health condition of each individual using the ionic foot detox (See chart here: Ionic Foot Detox Color Chart with Descriptions (4) (1) (boisecoloncleanse.com)).
